Real work, real solutions, for real life

We provide businesses with a unique opportunity to engage with high school students in the classroom to develop your future employees—and at the same time build your brand, engage employees in mentoring opportunities, and ultimately, increase your bottom line.

Big Idea Project is the answer

Employers have long-stated that graduates of today struggle with strategic thinking, problem solving, leadership, and communication. In fact, according to the Harvard Business Review, 60% of companies say they have open leadership positions they cannot fill.

Straight to
the root

A focus on relieving symptoms to a problem only provides short-term change. Long-term change comes from addressing the root cause.

Leadership has little to do with position, titles, characteristics or even skills. Leadership is a human enterprise that requires empathy, imagination, responsibility and an outward focus on others.

Our numbers

In 2018 over 600 students from all types of schools and backgrounds across the Front Range accepted the challenge to solve real world problems outside of their classroom walls. Through the process, students experienced life lessons in character, leadership and responsibility that will stick with them long after they graduate from high school.

Measured gains and
improvement

“We evaluate several school-based programs, many of which have been operating much longer than the Big Idea Project, and the Big Idea Project consistently produces the largest gains we see in student outcomes. Using rigorous measures of pre-post change, the Big Idea Project has reliably, over four years of measurement, lead to student growth in skills important for workforce leadership and behavioral health, such as problem solving, teamwork, communication, professionalism, resilience, and confidence.”Dr. Beth Mulligan – Principal Corona Insights, Denver, CO

Talent and leadership gaps are quickly widening and many businesses are having difficulty finding the leaders and employees they need. Businesses care about the education and preparation of their future workforce. Big Idea Project is the content and context businesses need to provide direction, influence and talent to schools and students.

When you invest in young people, you are empowering, training, and equipping your future workforce. Big Idea Project challenges how young leaders think and gives them the soft skills that are critical to their, and your, success.

Big Idea Project partners with like-minded companies who believe developing future generous leaders is a long-term investment worth throwing their influence and resources behind.
